For the past 25 years I have dedicated a large part of my life to a journey in health and fitness. What started with a group fitness instructor position at The Ohio State University, while earning a Nursing degree, ultimately parlayed itself into traveling the world as one of the world’s top Fitness Athletes. That journey now continues with the launch of “TRAIN WITH A CHAMPION”
During my 17 years as a competitive fitness athlete I learned the discipline, training techniques, nutritional guidelines and the motivational tactics and techniques that culminated in my becoming a “Champion”. My mission now is to “Champion” Life and bring you with me.
It’s one thing to live out this journey, but it’s another to have someone qualified to guide you through it. There is no substitute for experience and I have 21 years as a Nurse, Professional Athlete and Professional Trainer. The proof will be in the results we achieve together.
First, we find the courage to get started. Then we implement the training, cardiovascular techniques and the dietary guidelines to assist in your success. Then we stay motivated. We do that through fun and challenging workouts and cardiovascular programs. We become more educated about our food choices and implement supplementation when appropriate. We start to “Champion” a life style and a journey into your health and fitness that you can be proud of.

Emotionally depleted I began to seek and find comfort in food, finding myself tipping the scales at nearly 300 pounds at 5’3, going from a size 7/8 to a size 26/28. I was embarrassed and ashamed that I allowed myself to become morbidly obese. My weight was not only impacting my quality of life but my health was slowly deteriorating. After many failed attempts to lose weight on my own, I finally found the courage to reach out to Mike and Julie for help. This was the best decision of my life because it literally saved my life. With their support, encouragement, personal training, meal plans and cardio programs I was able to lose over 100 pounds. I realize that despite my hard work and success I still have some way to go. Instead of letting this overshadow my success it has given me the strength and determination to continue on my journey with Mike and Julie. A journey of weight loss, healthy living and healthy eating.

I started personal training with Julie Palmer Davies in February of 2015. I had never lifted a free weight in my life and had no idea where to begin and had little confidence that I would accomplish anything. Right away Julie made me feel comfortable. She made me realize my body is capable of things I had no idea it would do. In January 2018 I decided to take my training to a whole new level, and with Julie’s help, I incorporated a healthy diet and aerobic exercise into my routine. I was seeing results like I had never seen before. I decided to celebrate my accomplishments by entering my first bikini fitness competition, in June 2018, just days after my 50th birthday. Julie’s belief in me has made me realize I am capable of far more than I ever thought possible. I am healthier than I have ever been and so happy for the day I decided to start personal training with Julie.

Julie was recommended to me from a fellow IFFB pro I had been training with due to some scheduling conflicts. I knew Julie was a champion fitness pro in her own physique but she never made me feel intimidated by her status and I was instantly drawn into her training. Julie motivates others to train to be at their best and helps you with meeting your goals. I never thought that nearly 10 years later, I'd still be training with her. It's because of her fitness professionalism, her spirit and heart that I don't know that I'll ever stop. I'm grateful that Julie has been a consistent presence and motivator in my fitness lifestyle.
